01 / FOUNDER
FOUNDER + CHIEF AUDIO ENGINEER
CHRISTOPHER
GUILLOT
Christopher Guillot is the founder and studio director of Cherry Sound, a Denver-based music production and audio services company. With more than 25 years of experience in recording, mixing, mastering, sound design, audio post-production, live sound, and music education, Christopher brings both technical expertise and creative direction to every project.
Through Cherry Sound, he has led studio operations, managed engineers and interns, developed client workflows, produced music and media projects, and delivered professional audio services for artists, businesses, filmmakers, educators, and creative teams. His work includes music production, vocal recording, mixing, mastering, voiceover, sound design, audio restoration, and post-production.
Christopher's background also includes seven years as a full-time Audio Engineering Instructor at CEC Early College of Denver, where he trained the next generation of engineers and producers through hands-on studio-based education. His approach to production is rooted in clear communication, strong technical fundamentals, and a deep respect for the artist's vision.
02 / CO-OWNER
CO-OWNER + DIRECTOR OF MUSIC PUBLISHING & LICENSING
NATHANIEL
MERICLE
Nathaniel Mericle is a co-owner of Cherry Sound, bringing a multidisciplinary background in visual art, animation, performance, and music business to the company. He has been involved with Cherry Sound since 2015, contributing to the development of the studio, label, and its creative projects, including the release of Current Events by acclaimed jazz pianist Joe Bonner.
Originally trained in animation and visual art, Nathaniel has also studied acting and voice performance. That combination of visual storytelling, performance, and music gives him a broad perspective on how artists develop not only their sound, but their identity and the way their work reaches an audience.
In 2024, Nathaniel expanded his industry training through the Music Business program at Dark Horse Institute in Nashville, studying the business, marketing, and strategic side of the modern music industry.
At Cherry Sound, his focus includes artist development, A&R, branding, marketing, label strategy, and creative direction. Working alongside the studio's production and engineering capabilities, Nathaniel is interested in what happens beyond the recording itself: identifying what makes an artist distinctive, developing a coherent creative identity, and helping strong music find the audience it was made for.
